JOB DESCRIPTION:JOB SUMMARYPrimary Job Function India Regional IT Team is accountable for all deliveries in India for India. This team collaborates with Global IT teams, providers/vendors, business relationship managers and business teams to deliver keeping the best interest of Abbott Worldwide and India.Project Manager will execute and manage projects within the defined scope for regulated systems within Software Lifecycle for the healthcare industry complying to regulations around Customer Data, Data Privacy, Cybersecurity, SOX and others. Develops and executes a work plan using an agile or waterfall (based on need) project management methodology by obtaining authorized resources to ensure all activities are performed. Gather lessons learned and obtain final project approval from sponsor and stakeholders.Portfolio management, Budget preparation and audit preparation are essential tasks. Administrative tasks with vendor teams for time sheet management, invoice pre-approvals and regular compliance to documentation per policies and procedures.Position Accountability / ScopeThis role covers all deliveries for Abbott in India for India. - Project Manager will become part of a regional, cross-functional operational team that is working on improving processes and manage deliveries for Abbott India.
- Portfolio management and drive insights on trends for projects, investments, business and IT priorities etc.
- Execute and manage projects within the defined scope and is responsible to analyze processes & recommend improvements
- Responsible for executing projects in an agile or waterfall (per need) project management methodology
- Expedite, manage and coordinated a multitude of interrelated IT project activities within the constraints of human and financial resources and changing priorities to ensure the successful completion of projects
- Initiate and Plan IT Projects: Works with business and IT management to establish project goals, objectives and deliverables. Prepare budget estimates for level of work required.
- Project Control: Assess the degree to which changes to scope, issues and risks will affect projects working with department, management and sponsor to gain agreement for resolution. Measure performance to assure the project is progressing as compared to original plan and budget.
- Executing and Closing Projects: Develops and executes a work plan obtaining authorized resources to ensure all activities are performed. Gather lessons learned and obtain final project approval from sponsor and stakeholders.
- Project Communication: Communicate project progress by producing project reports to provide timely and accurate project status and decision support information to Project Team and Department manager
- Resource and Team Management: Coordinate resources to ensure project needs are addressed and effectively assign tasks and deliverables to team members based upon their abilities.
- Perform resource capacity planning. Prepare high level portfolio outcomes to showcase what is possible and by when for the full year with resource capacity and number of projects.
- Quality Management: Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures. Single point of contact for all audit preparation and document submission. Champion the automated tools provided for compliance achievement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science or related discipline.
- Master’s in systems management with at least 8+ year experience in project management, business systems analysis, or software development preferred
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCEExperience Details
- Total Experience of 8+ years Preferred Certified Agile Project Management methodology – SCRUM, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner, Scaled Agile Framework – SAFe, Agile Certification Institute (ACI), etc.
- Budget and portfolio management
- Resource Capacity planning and drawing actionable insights from the same
- Having PMP certifications will be an added advantage.
- Candidate will be providing support for regulated systems requiring strict adherence to SDLC policies and procedures.
- Experience in Healthcare projects or similar regulated industries is preferred
- Candidate having working experience on regulated systems complying with Customer Data, Data Privacy regulations – like GDPR and similar Data Sovereignty Laws, SOX, Cyber Security.
