Job Title: Senior QA Engineer, AVP

Location: Pune, India

Role Description: AVP, Quality Assurance Engineer for SAP-FS ICM (Incentive & Commission Management) - Stationery Channels & Marketing (Sales Key & Commissions Platform)

As an AVP, SAP Quality Assurance Engineer within the Sales Key & Commissions platform, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our SAP Incentive & Commissions platform.

SAP Incentive Management (formerly SAP Commissions), is a comprehensive software solution designed to automate, manage, and optimize variable compensation plans for sales teams and external partners.
The primary goal of SAP ICM is to drive profitable sales behaviour by aligning employee performance with corporate strategic goals through fair and transparent monetary rewards. It eliminates the inefficiencies and errors common in manual, spreadsheet-based commission tracking.

Your key responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure robust quality and seamless functionality of our SAP solutions supporting this strategic initiative. This involves:

  • Driving Quality Assurance Strategy: Leading the design, development, and execution of comprehensive test strategies for SAP functionalities within the Incentive & Commissions platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical specifications.
  • Ensuring Reliability: This includes designing and executing test cases to validate governance and efficiency, and to ensure accurate alignment with business requirements for commissions workflows and business rules.
  • Collaborating for Excellence: Working closely with product owners, development teams, and business stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into detailed, executable test plans and scenarios, particularly those related to incentive and commission calculations. Conducting regular demos for business users to ensure acceptance criteria are met.
  • Elevating Product Quality: Contributing significantly to the overall product backlog by identifying potential quality risks, proposing effective mitigation strategies, and championing best practices in SAP QA methodologies. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the effective implementation of business requirements through rigorous testing.
  • Innovating QA Processes: Continuously seeking opportunities to enhance our SAP QA processes, to optimize testing cycles and improve release quality for the Commissions platform.

Your skills and experience

  • Good understanding of SAP Incentive & Commissions management processes and an ability to apply this knowledge to testing scenarios.
  • 8+ years of dedicated experience in Quality Assurance and testing roles, with a strong preference for experience in SAP environments.
  • Proficiency in translating business requirements and functional specifications into comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence for defect tracking, test case management, and documentation.
  • Experience in collaborating with product owners and development teams to understand system functionalities and identify potential testing gaps.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to identify, reproduce, and document defects effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues and test results clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple testing priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
