Role Description

• Service Solutions & AI is the domain revolutionizing Deutsche Bank's Private Bank through holistic process automation and AI innovation. Within this critical area, the "Customer Journey Solutions" team is central to shaping its future. We make a significant contribution to the target architecture by driving a common platform, fostering growth initiatives, and optimizing processes. Our key initiatives include the operation and development of the dbCORE low-code platform for process design, creating online product sales and self-service offerings for all channels, building a dedicated product sales and service shop for easy integration, and delivering PB-wide Ident & Sign solutions.
• As an Senior Engineer in QA & Testing, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of applications supporting the Investment Proposition domain. You will plan, design, and execute a full set of test activities including test analysis, test case creation, test execution, defect analysis, and full-cycle test coordination. In addition, you will drive the implementation of comprehensive test automation, including unit, integration, and UI automation suites.
• You will actively contribute to the evolution of in-house automation test tools and frameworks while collaborating closely with Dev/QA engineers within agile Feature (Scrum) teams, as well as with the Product Owner and Scrum Master. Your responsibilities extend into coaching junior QA specialists and Requirements Engineers, contributing to quality excellence and efficiency across the delivery lifecycle.

Your key responsibilities

• Plan and execute a full set of test activities for application testing within the Investment Proposition domain, including:
  • Test analysis
  • Test case design and documentation
  • Test execution
  • Defect analysis and reporting
  • Planning and orchestration of full test cycles
• Plan, design, implement, and maintain test automation for unit, integration, and UI layers; create, maintain, and execute automated test suites.
• Develop, extend, and enhance in‑house Test Automation tools and frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with Dev/QA engineers within Scrum Feature teams to build robust and sustainable features.
• Work with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to define and validate requirements and deliver high‑quality increments.
• Apply strong requirements engineering practices for large‑scale IT solutions and ensure test coverage alignment with business needs.
• Utilize test management tools such as HP ALM for test definition, documentation, and tracking.
• Perform Web Application testing using Selenium with Java, ensuring strong coverage and reliability.
• Coach and mentor junior QA specialists and Requirements Engineers to uplift team capability.
• Demonstrate strong independence, analytical thinking, and initiative in driving quality improvements.
• Continuously learn and adapt within an evolving web‑technology and automation ecosystem.

Your skills and experience

• Experience & Technical Skills
  • Solid hands-on experience in requirements engineering for large scale IT solutions.
  • Advanced proficiency in test case definition, documentation, and use of Test Management tools such as HP ALM.
  • Strong experience in Web Application testing using Selenium with Java.
  • Practical experience implementing automation frameworks across unit, integration, and UI layers.
  • Strong understanding of agile delivery practices and working within Scrum teams.
  • Ability to develop, maintain, and extend automation tools and frameworks.
• Soft Skills
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High degree of independence, ownership, and initiative.
  • Capable of coaching junior team members on QA and requirements engineering best practices.
