About the role:  

We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to help build, run, and test a self-hosted identity product.  We are looking for engineers who are passionate about understanding complex problems, designing tests around them, and evaluating their performance and functionality across many environments.  You would be integral in continuing to build this product in a supportive and agile environment where there are a lot of opportunities to tackle some interesting problems and solutions, while serving a critical and visible role. 

You will:  

• Have 5+ years of software testing experience, preferably having tested self-hosted software.  

• Develop test plans and execute tests that exercise and characterize critical areas of functionality. 

• Set up test environments including installation and deployment of self-hosted software requiring familiarity with application servers and databases. 

• Collaborate with peers and across teams on designs, code reviews, and testing. 

• Evaluate enhancements or fixes and proactively test their correctness and functionality. 

• Participate in grooming sessions to design and develop SailPoint’s self-hosted software to solve customer challenges while improving end-to-end reliability and maintainability. 

• Be responsible for verifying the quality of features added or enhanced within the platform solutions, acting as a customer advocate to ensure that SailPoint offerings are well-designed and easy to use.  

• Work with other QA Engineers to learn best practices for how to test SailPoint products.  

• Have excellent English communication skills. 

Preferred skills:   

• Experience testing self-hosted applications.  

• Experience working with a distributed team.
