Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the ExactRx team to define, design, and implement new platform features.
- Develop and maintain scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails, contributing to both backend and frontend systems.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that adheres to best practices and coding standards.
- Optimize application performance and resolve bottlenecks to enhance user experience.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to enhance the platform.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails or similar frameworks (e.g., Django, Laravel).
- Full-stack development experience, with expertise in backend and frontend technologies.
- Proficiency in frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React.js, Vue.js, or Angular.
- Strong understanding of database systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and working with microservices architectures.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as RSpec or Minitest.
- Proficient in version control systems like Git, using platforms like GitHub or GitLab.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker) and orchestration frameworks (Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI).
- Exposure to GraphQL or real-time communication tools (ActionCable, WebSockets).
- Understanding of DevOps practices and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Background in building and scaling high-traffic applications.
