What we’re looking for…

ScienceLogic is looking for a proven Senior Sales Engineer with at least twelve years of pre-sales experience in network monitoring/management or cloud services to join their established sales organization. You’ll work alongside experienced Account Executives with some of the technology industry’s most innovative and well-known organizations to help them get the most out of their infrastructure through ScienceLogic’s Automation Engine for AIOps solution. The ideal candidate will have significant experience working with both enterprise and managed service companies.

What you’ll be doing…

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor and subject matter expert, collaborating with GSIs to design and showcase the transformative potential of our AIOps platform. You will work closely with their technical teams to align solutions with enterprise customer needs.

· Serve as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers and Global System Integrators (GSIs), translating complex IT challenges into scalable, AI-driven AIOps solutions.

· Partner closely with Sales to drive technical discovery, solution positioning, demos, PoCs, and RFP responses across large enterprise opportunities.

· Design and architect end-to-end AIOps solutions spanning observability, event intelligence, anomaly detection, root cause analysis (RCA), and service impact analysis.

· Validate solution fit across hybrid, multi-cloud, containerized, and SaaS environments, ensuring scalability and performance.

· Develop and deliver high-impact technical presentations, executive briefings, and tailored demos that clearly articulate value, ROI, and differentiation.

· Create logical and physical architecture designs, illustrating seamless integration within complex enterprise ecosystems.

· Guide customers on best practice AIOps adoption, including data onboarding, noise reduction strategies, and automation readiness.

· Collaborate with GSI technical teams to design scalable solutions and demonstrate how the platform can be extended to meet unique customer requirements.

· Drive partner collaboration, enabling GSIs/MSPs to build repeatable solution blueprints, accelerators, and service offerings.

· Build and maintain reusable solution assets such as demo environments, playbooks, reference architectures, and technical collateral.

· Map customer pain points (e.g., MTTR reduction, alert fatigue, service visibility) to AI/ML-driven capabilities and business outcomes.

· Contribute to competitive positioning, technical differentiation, and industry-specific (verticalized) AIOps use cases.

· Engage with internal product and engineering teams to influence roadmap and enhancements based on field feedback.

· Support post-sales success through onboarding guidance, deployment readiness, and adoption workshops to ensure measurable outcomes.

· Participate at industry events, partner forums, and customer engagements as a technical expert.

· Stay current with AIOps, observability, GenAI, and IT operations trends, continuously evolving solution approaches.

Qualities you possess…

You are a technically adept and customer-focused professional who excels at building strong relationships and delivering innovative solutions. Your ability to navigate complex technical conversations and align solutions with GSI needs makes you a valuable asset.

· 12+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or sales engineering, preferably with strong exposure to GSI ecosystems.

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (advanced degree preferred).

· Deep expertise in AIOps, observability, and IT operations platforms (e.g., ScienceLogic, Splunk, Dynatrace, LogicMonitor, ServiceNow).

· Strong understanding of cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), containers (Kubernetes), and DevOps/SRE practices.

· Proven ability to architect complex enterprise solutions and communicate them effectively to both technical and executive stakeholders.

· Exceptional presentation, storytelling, and demo skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts into compelling narratives.

· Experience driving large, strategic deals, building technical credibility, and influencing buying decisions.

· Hands-on expertise in integration and enterprise technologies (e.g., UNIX, TCP/IP, SNMP, APIs, Syslog, SSH, Python).

· Familiarity with ITIL frameworks, ITSM/ITOM tools (e.g., ServiceNow), and modern observability standards.

· Ability to create technical assets and reusable content such as demo scripts, solution templates, FAQs, and training materials.

· Exposure to GenAI and AI/ML applications in IT operations is a strong advantage.

· Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical scenarios (data ingestion, AI behavior, scale).

· Highly collaborative, proactive, and self-driven, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

· Willingness to travel extensively to support customer and partner engagements.
