Senior Scrum Master
Job Description Summary
We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master who enables collaboration, supports team autonomy, and helps Agile teams work effectively. The ideal candidate fosters open communication, removes obstacles in partnership with teams, promotes continuous learning, and supports consistent Agile practices across multiple teams. This role requires effective facilitation, coordination, and the ability to help teams working at different delivery rhythms while maintaining clarity, transparency, and reliable outcomes.
Hiring RequirementsKey Responsibilities1. Agile Coaching & Team Enablement
  • Guide teams in Agile and Scrum practices, including estimation, built‑in quality, ceremonies, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Product Owners to support backlog clarity and value‑focused delivery.
  • Support individuals in identifying challenges and making decisions.
  • Create an environment where team members feel comfortable raising concerns.
  • Encourage a culture of learning, shared influence, and personal development.
2. Facilitation of Agile Events (Team & Train Level)
  • Facilitate core team ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Meetings, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Participate meaningfully in Program Increment (PI) events including team breakouts and System Demos.
  • Support planning and alignment across teams through regular refinement and synchronization meetings.
  • Clarify and publish team goals to maintain visibility and transparency.
3. Impediment Resolution & Flow Optimization
  • Work with teams to identify and address impediments and improve flow.
  • Help teams support consistent value delivery across Agile groups.
  • Contribute to risk and dependency management in coordination with other teams.
4. Metrics, Transparency & Reporting
  • Communicate useful Agile execution metrics such as velocity and flow‑based indicators.
  • Maintain transparency around progress, goals, risks, and impediments.
5. Cross‑Team & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Product Owners, QA, architects, and engineering teams to support healthy backlogs and alignment.
  • Strengthen communication and collaboration across teams and stakeholders to improve clarity and delivery quality.
6. Continuous Improvement & Community Participation
  • Enable continuous improvement through retrospectives, maturity assessments, and actionable follow‑ups.
  • Participate in Scrum Master Communities and contribute to knowledge‑sharing.
  • Coordinate periodic Agile team maturity assessments and support improvement follow‑through.

Technical & Methodological Competencies
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
  • Ability to explain Agile concepts, estimation methods, story refinement, and quality practices.
  • Experience using JIRA or similar Agile lifecycle tools.
Cross‑Team Leadership
  • Experience supporting multiple teams with varying cadences.
  • Ability to support dependency management and reliable delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Significant experience working with Agile/Scrum environments or similarly complex contexts.
  • Experience as Scrum Master for multiple teams is helpful.
  • Certifications such as CSM (Certified ScrumMaster), PSM (Professional Scrum Master), or SAFe Scrum Master are beneficial but not required.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting effective team outcomes and stakeholder collaboration.
