The Senior Slot Game Designer will create engaging slot games, focusing on mathematical models, player psychology, and data-driven design. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Slot Game Designer with a passion for creating engaging, high-performing slot experiences. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep mathematical expertise with a strong understanding of player psychology and data-driven design.
You will participate the development of innovative slot concepts from ideation through launch, ensuring games are mathematically sound, emotionally engaging and commercially successful. This position plays a critical role in defining gameplay mechanics, verifying all mathematical calculations, and shaping player-centric experiences that resonate in the market.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Slot Game Designer, you will:
- Lead the creation of original mathematical models, game themes, and innovative slot mechanics.
- Design and own slot game concepts from ideation to final delivery, focusing on entertainment value, pacing, volatility, RTP structure, and long-term engagement.
- Develop and verify all mathematical calculations and simulations to ensure regulatory compliance and optimal performance.
- Collaborate closely with mathematicians to refine mechanics and balance risk-reward structures.
- Work cross-functionally with producers, animators, sound designers, engineers, and product teams to ensure cohesive execution.
- Interpret creative briefs and align game concepts with overall product strategy and market positioning.
- Utilize player data and analytics to inform design decisions and optimize mechanics pre- and post-launch.
- Create detailed Game Design Documents (GDDs) and pitch materials that clearly communicate gameplay mechanics, feature flow, and player experience goals.
- Playtest and iterate on in-development games, providing structured feedback on math, UI, pacing, art, and sound integration.
- Support external partners with clear explanations of game mechanics and value propositions to maximize commercial success.
- Analyze post-launch performance data and apply learnings to future releases.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Game Design or equivalent professional experience.
- 4–5+ years of proven experience in slot game design with successful released titles.
- Strong proficiency in Excel for modeling, simulations, and probability calculations.
- Deep knowledge of Combinatorics, Probability Theory, and Statistics.
- Demonstrated ability to translate player insights and performance data into optimized design decisions.
- Strong understanding of pacing, visual choreography, and entertainment flow in slot gameplay.
- Experience using visual design or storyboarding tools to communicate concepts.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Strong digital portfolio showcasing relevant slot or gaming work.
