In this role, you will support a world-class financial services platform, ensuring operational excellence and delivering innovative solutions for investors and financial advisors. As a member of the L1 Support Team, you will take ownership of defect resolution, overnight process monitoring, and ad-hoc requests to maintain platform health and performance.
This role offers flexible working hours, including remote overnight platform support. You will work closely with engineering, operations, and product teams to deliver a resilient, scalable platform ready for next-day trading. Your focus will include troubleshooting recurring issues, improving platform reliability, and optimizing customer experiences while contributing to the evolution of our technology stack.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and resolve defects through root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
- Monitor overnight processes to ensure system readiness for next-day trading.
- Collaborate with operational teams to address ad-hoc requests and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain low-latency, high-performance systems using SQL Server, VB.NET, and C# .NET.
- Perform platform health checks, diagnose reliability issues, and propose scalable solutions.
- Build automation tools and processes to improve efficiency and reduce recurring incidents.
- Ensure all development and change requests comply with architectural guidelines.
- Maintain and update service documentation.
- Take full ownership of defects from identification to production deployment.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Mentor team members and share knowledge to foster a culture of continuous learning and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 5+ years of experience supporting large-scale platforms, emphasizing databases and performance optimization.
- Strong SQL Server development experience, including query performance tuning.
- Proficiency in .NET development, including VB.NET and C#, with strong debugging skills.
- Hands-on experience with Azure or other cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk is highly desirable.
- Experience in automation and a proactive approach to resolving systemic issues.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum) and tools like Jira.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and understand stakeholder requirements.
- Fast learner with curiosity, passion for continuous improvement, and innovation.
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
