JOB PURPOSE:
The Sr. Software Engineer contributes to design, development and deployment of Caterpillar's state-of-the-art digital applications. This position will build a world class front end of a wide range of digital applications.
Responsibilities
-Design and Develop new user-facing features
-Build reusable code and libraries for future use
-Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
-Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
-Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
-Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Skills And Qualifications
-5 to 7 years of work experience in front end development
-Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks like Angular 2+/React/Polymer
-Strong understanding of JavaScript design patterns and Object Oriented JavaScript
-Strong understanding and hands on experience of unit testing frameworks like Jasmine
-Strong understanding Web components
-Basic understanding of build systems like Webpack/Bazel
-Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
-Proficient understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
-Basic understanding of Nodejs, Express and oAuth
