About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer.
In this role, you will:
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- IT industry experience with all phases of SDLC
- Strong experience on Java, Spring batch, AngularJS, XML, JSON, RESTful services, Unix, JDBC, JPA, Unit Test Framework, Selenium
- Experience with DevOps
- Experience with messaging services like JMS/Kafka.
- Proficiency in J2EE architecture and design patterns
- Cloud, playwright experience is a plus
- Proficiency in Agile delivery
- JIRA/Confluence Proficiency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong experience in SQL
- Experience developing micro services is a plus
- Strong years with working with business partners to breakdown requirements, manage technology delivery, educate the business on technology options, lead enterprise level initiatives and ensure that expectations are set and delivered on time and budget.
- Strong years as part of a continuous integration and delivery team
- Must be able to provide examples that they have the ability to multi-task and handle multiple technology initiatives at the same time.
- A detailed, logical thinker, problem solver & team player
- Experience working with onsite/offshore teams
Job Expectations:
As a Software Engineer, the resource will be responsible for:
- Active participation in scrum team to design/develop product features in collaboration with the US teams
- Provide Business value through innovation and continuous improvement
- Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills; proven ability to work with end users to understand and transform requirements to solutions
- Conducts peer code reviews
- Mentor junior technical team members
- Necessary presentation and documentation for technical artifacts
- Ensure Release software meets all requirements of Security, Quality, Extensibility, Performance, Reusability
- Accountable for the overall development life cycle of the solution and manage multi-release multi-complexity projects from Well Fargo EGS India locations
- Responsible for driving best practices for software development and documentation, assures designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work managing the schedules.
- Engage with the Application Architects and CoE Partners (included but not limited to DBA, Cloud, Architecture and Application Support teams for the safety and soundness of the assigned applications
- Work on generate ideas for Continuous Process Improvements, and delivering Proof of Concepts
- Review status of system applications and prepare recommendations for improvements/ modernization
- Focus on enhancing self-technical/ domain skillsets
- Work in a matrix environment and build good working relationships with multiple stakeholders
- Build a culture of continuous improvement within team and put together metrics to measure the impact of their efforts
- Shift timings, 01:00 PM – 10:00 PM IST
