As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate with a geographically distributed group of engineers, product managers, solution architects, and business systems analysts. You will enhance our systems using diverse technical stacks and services, including Kotlin, Java, and a range of AWS products.
On your first day, we'll expect you to have :
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience building and implementing scalable, performant RESTful microservices
- Proficiency in a modern object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, Kotlin)
- Fluency in a database technology (e.g., RDBMS like Oracle or Postgres, or NoSQL like DynamoDB or Cassandra)
- Experience with AWS services like S3, RDS, SQS, and CloudFront, or equivalent cloud providers
- Experience with tools like Git, Maven/Gradle, Bamboo/Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, and Docker for build and deployment workflows
- Understand distributed systems and application security
- Passion for collaboration and strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to nurture relationships with business stakeholders
- Thrive in fast-paced business environments with unique challenges and opportunities
- Solve complex problems by self-starting or calling on the help of your teammates
- Familiarity with cloud architecture patterns and an engineering discipline to produce quality software
