We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to join the Veeam Data Cloud (VDC) engineering team. You will be working with a global team to build next-generation data protection services focused on ensuring data resilience for our customers.
This is a unique opportunity to work on greenfield projects, building features from the ground up that will be deployed and utilized worldwide.
What You'll Do- Design and develop reliable, scalable and globally available cloud services that protect data stored in SaaS services like Microsoft 365
- Participate in technical design discussions, reviewing code, and providing feedback to other engineers
- Ensure your code is high-quality, thoroughly tested, and secure
- Take ownership of the reliability and efficiency of your services running in the cloud
- Participate in on-call rotation for product operations
- 5+ years of experience in the software development industry
- Exposure to designing, building, and implementing SaaS or large-scale cloud services on Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Expertise with a modern programming language like Go, C#, Java, Scala, or Rust
- Strong computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, and concurrency)
- Demonstrated expertise designing, building, and implementing core features in production services or software
- Experience developing, testing, and debugging production-quality, scalable, multithreaded, concurrent systems
- Passion for code quality, extensibility, coding standards, testing and automation
- Experience building systems that handle large volumes of data, including data storage, data transfer, and data manipulation systems
- Experience building data protection or security products
- Experience building and operating SaaS services using public cloud
