General Summary:

The Sr Specialist, Email Developer position is responsible for building a variety of email campaigns and landing pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Hand code email campaigns using HTML, CSS and JavaScript based on approved email creative. Complexity ranges from ad-hoc emails to highly complex, data-driven responsive templates.
2. Develop landing pages and forms that also vary in complexity.
3. Work within the Company's platform to upload and test campaigns.
4. Perform quality assurance and troubleshoot code rendering across multiple desktop and mobile devices using email testing and analytics platforms.
5. Be a subject matter expert on industry standards, best practices, and proper coding techniques to achieve correct rendering in all email environments.
6. Proactively work with teammates and clients to achieve balance between client expectations and realistic deliverables.
7. Identify scenarios where email assets are not adequate or incomplete and communicate the importance of guidelines and process, following up with recommendations when necessary.
8. Support other members of the web production team with knowledge share, open communication, shared workload, and good old-fashioned teamwork.
9. Familiarity with JavaScript and an understanding of SQL and database structure.
10. Able to translate technical explanations to non-technical parties.
11. Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, ever-changing environment.
12. Possess strong problem-solving skills.
13. Passionate about the email industry and motivated to learn more.
14. Experience with Litmus or Email on Acid, advanced Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver skills, and comfortable working on a MacBook.
15. Previous work within an enterprise-level ESP is a plus.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 7+ years of relevant experience.
2. Must be able to handle given workload quickly and with a high degree of accuracy.
3. Proven ability to effectively handle multiple priorities in a timely manner while maintaining integrity of work.
4. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Gmail, and Android mail applications.
5. Excellent command over communication with the ability to communicate with individuals in an articulate, professional manner.
6. Quick learner that can accomplish given tasks with minimal amount of direction.
7. Strong sense of self-motivation to accomplish multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy and speed.
8. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
9. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, meet organizational deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining quality of work product.
