Senior Specialist, SAP Developer

The Role: 

Our site in India - Pune is seeking an SAP ABAP S4 Fiori Developer to join our team. We are seeking a skilled and motivated SAP ABAP S4 Fiori Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP ABAP development, SAP S/4HANA, and Fiori/UI5 to design and implement efficient, scalable, and user-friendly solutions within our SAP landscape. As part of the role, the developer will work closely with business users, functional consultants, and other technical teams to deliver SAP Fiori applications and enhancements. 

What You’ll Do: 

• ABAP Development: 

• Design, develop, test, and maintain custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms in the SAP S/4HANA environment. 

• Develop ABAP-based solutions to integrate SAP modules and external systems. 

• Enhance and optimize existing ABAP code for performance and scalability. 

• Fiori/UI5 Development: 

• Design and develop custom SAP Fiori applications using SAPUI5 and Fiori design principles. 

• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure an intuitive, responsive, and modern user interface. 

• Implement custom Fiori apps, tiles, and launchpad configurations within the SAP Fiori Launchpad. 

• S/4HANA Integration: 

• Develop integration scenarios with SAP S/4HANA using RESTful APIs, OData services, and SAP Gateway. 

• Support the migration and conversion of legacy SAP applications to S/4HANA. 

• Work on SAP S/4HANA modules such as Finance (FI), Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), etc. 

• SAP Gateway & OData Services: 

• Design and implement OData services for Fiori applications. 

• Use SAP Gateway to expose backend data to front-end Fiori apps. 

• Troubleshooting & Support: 

• Provide support for Fiori applications and ABAP programs. 

• Resolve issues related to performance, integration, and user experience. 

• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions as required. 

• Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: 

• Work closely with functional consultants, business analysts, and end users to gather requirements. 

• Ensure that solutions align with business needs and SAP best practices. 

• Participate in code reviews, testing, and knowledge-sharing sessions. 

What We Seek: 

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. 

• Experience: 

• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development. 

• Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori/UI5 development. 

• Experience with SAP Gateway and OData services. 

• Familiarity with UI5, HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS for custom Fiori development. 

• Skills & Expertise: 

• Strong ABAP programming skills (reports, enhancements, user exits, BADI, ALV, SmartForms, etc.). 

• Experience in designing and developing custom Fiori applications and configuring Fiori launchpad. 

• In-depth knowledge of OData and RESTful web services. 

• Experience in SAP S/4HANA migration and conversion projects is a plus. 

• Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting ABAP code and Fiori applications. 

• Strong understanding of SAP NetWeaver, ECC, and S/4HANA architecture. 

• Knowledge of Fiori design principles and best practices.

• Eclipse (for Fiori development) 

• SAP Web IDE or Business Application Studio 

Outstanding Candidates Will Have: 

• Experience with SAP Fiori 3.0 and Fiori Elements. 

• Knowledge of SAP Fiori security and role-based access control (RBAC). 

• Experience in working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). 

• Experience with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform).
