The Senior SRE Engineer will perform root-cause analysis for complex problems in distributed cloud-based systems, diagnose and debug production issues, and collaborate with teams for software release management. The role focuses on ensuring system performance and may involve assisting with service requests.

What You'll Do
- Adept at performing Root-cause analysis of complex problems involving multiple parties, networks, hardware, and software that relates to distributed cloud-based systems concerning scaling, performance, or network issues.
- Diagnose, isolate, and debug production issues to quickly resolve customer-facing incidents.
- Work closely with the release management team to plan and coordinate software releases.
- Collaborate with onsite teams and clients to ensure seamless performance of all the systems.
- And often involves routine grunt work on service requests to assist other teams with platform services.
What You Know
- A minimum of 8+ years’ experience as a technical lead. As needed act as an escalation point for Engineering Support and escalate to Engineering team for assistance and troubleshooting.
- Should have worked on Java application development for at least 4 years in career
- Should have strong systems background and be conversant with Application Development Technologies. Provides recommendations for and help troubleshoot Java based systems including Core Java, JVM internals, Garbage collection, Memory management, Unix OS, Database (RDBMS/NoSQL), Apache Kafka.
- Conversant with APM tools like App Dynamic, Data Dog or Dynatrace and other monitoring tools.
- Experience with Jenkins based CI/CD processes for release management.
- Good to Have Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM Service Management tools
- Good to Have working experience in an e-Commerce retail environment.
- Should be able to work in 1st and 2nd shift
- Should have Good analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
Education
- A bachelor's degree in information technology, software development management, software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
