Senior Supervisor - System Engineering

We are hiring a Senior Supervisor – System Engineering to lead firewall and network security operations across our cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and physical data centers. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with people leadership, driving the security, resilience, and compliance of our enterprise network infrastructure.

The successful candidate will own the Check Point firewall environment, lead incident response activities, mentor a team of network security engineers, and partner with IT, Cloud, and Security teams to continuously strengthen our security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership

• Firewall operations: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Check Point firewalls and associated security policies across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
• Security architecture: Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network security solutions including VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security.
• Cloud network security: Lead firewall and network security operations across AWS, Azure, and GCP, ensuring consistent policy enforcement across platforms.
• Vulnerability management: Monitor network performance, identify vulnerabilities, and deploy timely security patches and updates.

Incident Response & Operations

• Incident response: Own technical support and incident response for security-related issues, ensuring timely resolution while minimising business impact.
• Compliance & assessment: Perform regular security assessments and ensure adherence to organisational and industry best practices.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of network security configurations, policies, standard operating procedures, and runbooks.

People & Stakeholder Leadership

• Team mentorship: Guide and develop junior engineers, supporting skill growth and operational excellence within the team.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with IT, Cloud, and Security teams to design and enhance secure network architectures.
• Continuous learning: Stay current with emerging security threats, industry trends, and evolving best practices, and share insights with the broader team.

Required Experience & Skills:

• 10–12 years of hands-on experience in network engineering and cybersecurity.
• Proven hands-on experience administering Check Point firewall technologies in production environments.
• Deep expertise in Cisco networking, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Strong understanding of network protocols: TCP/IP, MPLS, and VPN technologies.
• Solid working knowledge of routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
• Practical experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud networking fundamentals.
• Demonstrated experience leading incident response for security events.
• Prior experience mentoring or leading technical team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE) or equivalent advanced Check Point certification.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher.
• Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE 4 or higher) — for multi-vendor environments.
• Experience with SD-WAN technologies and enterprise network monitoring tools.
• Experience with multi-cloud security operations across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
