Key Responsibilities:
● Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for ETL processes, data warehouses, and data marts,
ensuring data integrity and accuracy. This includes validating source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, and
data loading.
● Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data at various stages of the ETL pipeline, identify discrepancies,
and verify data quality rules. Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and comparison is essential.
● Collaborate closely with ETL developers, data architects, and business analysts to understand data requirements,
source systems, and target data models. Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on testability.
● Perform thorough testing of Reports and Dashboards generated from the data warehouse to ensure data accuracy,
consistency, and adherence to business requirements. This includes validating calculations, aggregations, and drill-down functionalities.
● Identify, document, and track defects and issues related to ETL processes, data quality, and data inconsistencies using defect tracking tools. Work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
● Contribute to the improvement of ETL testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. Stay updated on industry
trends and emerging technologies in data testing.
● Experience with scripting languages, particularly Python, for test automation, data manipulation, or data validation is
an added advantage.
● Good hands-on experience with data services on at least one major cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
