The Senior UI Engineer will lead UI design projects, mentor junior designers, ensure design consistency, and collaborate with teams for innovative user experiences.
The purpose of this role is to be creative task-based problem solvers who are passionate about creating experiences that engage the imagination whilst empowering users to bring the brand to life. This role could include elements of Product, UI and Visual design. Involved in projects from the beginning, UX Designers work closely with lead designers to help produce the experience vision from concept to finished product.

This role is ideal for a design professional with a strong eye for detail, a deep understanding of design systems, and a passion for delivering seamless and visually impactful user experiences. You will play a dual role of a hands-on designer and a mentor, ensuring design excellence and consistency across projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and delivery of high-fidelity UI designs, design systems, component libraries, iconography, and micro-interactions.
- Drive visual storytelling and elevate the emotional impact of interfaces in collaboration with UX and product teams.
- Ensure consistency and scalability of design across responsive and adaptive platforms (desktop, web, and mobile).
- Guide, mentor, and provide feedback to junior and mid-level UI designers, fostering a culture of design excellence.
- Champion design system principles, methodologies, and best practices while extending existing brand guidelines.
- Act as a bridge between design, development, and business teams to ensure feasibility and alignment.
- Stay updated on emerging design trends, tools, and techniques, AI-driven innovations in the design, and bring innovative ideas into the design process.
- Take ownership of design reviews and stakeholder presentations, ensuring clarity and alignment on design decisions.
Skills & Expertise
- Proven expertise in UI design with a strong portfolio demonstrating complex, high-quality digital products.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator); familiarity with motion tools (After Effects, Principle, Lottie) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of responsive and adaptive design principles.
- Deep knowledge of design systems and ability to adapt or extend existing ones.
- Excellent visual craft with attention to detail, consistency, and usability.
- Strong mentorship, communication, and collaboration skills to manage distributed teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to balance creativity with practicality in fast-paced agile environments.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Visual Design, Communication Design, HCI, or related field.
- 6+ years of UI/Visual design experience with proven expertise in agencies, consultancies, or product studios.
- Demonstrated experience in leading design projects and mentoring design teams.
- Prior experience working with global brands and cross-functional, distributed teams.
- Experience collaborating in agile product development cycles.
Tools & Platforms
- Expert-level proficiency in Figma.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Familiarity with motion/interaction tools (After Effects, Principle, Lottie).
- Experience using collaborative tools like Miro, FigJam, Zeplin.
