Job Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled Data Analyst & Engineer with a primary focus on Snowflake and data analytics. In this role, you will be the bridge between our data infrastructure and our business intelligence needs. You will leverage your deep expertise in Snowflake to model, transform, and analyze complex datasets, providing the critical insights that drive our business forward. While your core strength will be in data analysis and Snowflake, you will use your secondary skills in AWS and modern data orchestration tools to help build and maintain the pipelines that feed our analytics platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models within Snowflake to support analytical requirements.
- Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that address key business questions.
- Ensure data integrity, quality, and accuracy within the Snowflake environment.
- Support the data engineering team by contributing to the design and maintenance of data pipelines using tools like MWAA, AWS EKS and AWS Lambda.
- Work within a modern data stack, utilizing Terraform for infrastructure and EKS for containerized applications where necessary.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Primary Skillset (Core Requirements)
- Snowflake: 3+ years of deep, hands-on experience with the Snowflake Data Cloud. This includes:
- Advanced SQL and query performance tuning.
- Data Analysis & Analytics:
- Proven experience in performing quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
- Strong ability to translate raw data into actionable business insights.
Secondary Skillset (Supporting Technologies)
- AWS: Solid understanding of core AWS services, particularly:
- S3: For data lake storage and integration with Snowflake.
- AWS Lambda: For serverless data processing tasks.
- Workflow Orchestration: Experience with building and scheduling data pipelines using MWAA (Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow) or a similar tool.
- Containerization: Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS) is a plus, for deploying data-related applications.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with Terraform is highly desirable.
Programming: Proficiency in Python for scripting and data manipulation.
