Snowflake Solutions Architect | About You

As a Snowflake Solutions Architect, you are responsible for designing, guiding, and implementing cloud‑based data solutions that leverage Snowflake for scalable analytics, data warehousing, and secure data sharing. You architect end‑to‑end data solutions, integrating Snowflake with modern data engineering platforms such as Databricks and enterprise data ecosystems. You excel at translating business requirements into well‑governed technical architectures and providing clear direction to engineering teams during implementation. You bring deep expertise in data modeling, performance optimization, and cloud best practices, and you understand how to balance flexibility, scalability, cost, and security. You thrive in environments where you can shape data strategy, define architectural standards, and ensure reliable, enterprise‑grade data delivery.

Snowflake Solutions Architect | Day-to-Day

  • Design and architect scalable Snowflake‑based data platforms supporting analytics, reporting, and high‑volume data processing.
  • Define and enforce data modeling standards, warehouse structures, and integration patterns across cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to design pipelines integrating Snowflake with Databricks, ETL/ELT frameworks, and enterprise data layers.
  • Optimize Snowflake performance through effective warehouse sizing, clustering, data organization, and cost‑management strategies.
  • Lead solution design discussions, architectural reviews, and documentation efforts for new and existing data initiatives.
  • Ensure data governance, security, access controls, and privacy standards are consistently applied across the Snowflake ecosystem.

Snowflake Solutions Architect | Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in data architecture, cloud data engineering, or enterprise data platform design.
  • Deep, hands‑on expertise with Snowflake, including architecture design, performance tuning, data modeling, and security capabilities.
  • Experience working with Databricks and a strong understanding of lakehouse‑to‑warehouse integration patterns.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, data modeling methodologies, and ETL/ELT architecture.
  • Experience designing solutions within major cloud ecosystems (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and using modern data orchestration tools.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to lead architectural discussions and influence technical direction across teams.
