Overview of RoleOur ideal candidate will understand the value of teamwork and love living in the in-between of project delivery and managing high-trust client relationships. We are looking for the right fit with our rapidly growing organization and will invest in training.
Responsibilities- You will solve real-world problems and will work on projects that matter to the business, delivering software as part of a cross-functional team composed of software engineers, designers and product managers.
- Get hands-on exposure with cutting-edge technology from managers, mentors, and fellow team members.
- Deliver business value for customers in teams committed to the practices and principles of UCD (User-Centered Design), and Lean Product Management.
- Depending on your background, interest, and technical alignment to the various areas of Google Cloud Platform technology stack, you will be working on development and modernization projects as part of the 66degrees Cloud Native Application Development and Modernization team.
- 6+ years of experience in developing cloud-native applications.
- 4+ years of experience designing, architecting, and implementing microservices architecture.
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Deep knowledge of software architecture in distributed systems.
- Able to conduct code reviews and mentor software engineers.
- Experience in both front-end and back-end development (must have deeper experience in backend development, but familiarity and exposure with full-stack development required).
- Proficiency in 2 of the following: Java, Python or Typescript.
- Proficiency in developing applications on the Google Cloud Platform suite of products and services (or equivalent cloud), primarily serverless architecture, experience with k8s is a plus.
- Familiar with Terraform or other IaC solutions is a plus.
- Familiar with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD).
- Familiar with the scrum process and git.
- Experience establishing CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software delivery.
- Background in professional services/consulting.
- Strong communication skills.
- Eager to work in a teamwork/collaborative environment.
