PTC is looking for a software development engineer who has practical hands-on experience in JAVA, J2EE, Web technologies.

The candidate will be working as a part of a large multi-site team involved in design, implementation, performant, secured, agile, and reliable delivery and deployment of PTC’s flagship PLM suite, Windchill. This position is based out of PTC’s Pune R&D facility.

Job responsibilities include:

• Design, develop and maintain highly secure and scalable software.
• Participate in code reviews and other quality assurance activities to ensure the solutions meet the highest standards of quality
• Provide technical leadership to junior team members.
• Document technical design, code, and other project artifacts as required
• Work towards achieving 100% automation.
• Communicate effectively about the work done, rationale behind it and the impact on other parts of the product and trade-offs that have been made
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies relevant for Windchill.

Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information technology or equivalent software development experience.
• Proven working experience as Full Stack Developer in Java, J2EE, SQL.
• 7+ years of experience in server-side programming in Java.
• Passionate about simple and clean code, unit testing and following standard coding practices.
• Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, problem solving skills and innovation capabilities.
• Working knowledge on PLM software like Windchill will be added advantage.
• Exposure on CI/CD pipeline and GIT version control.
