Lead a small team of developers to enhance software products and services, focusing on full-stack development and ensuring effective project prioritization.
Our company, National Retail Solutions (NRS), currently a wholly owned subsidiary of IDT Corporation, is revolutionizing the independent retail industry by providing them with cost-effective, state of the art point of sale systems and complementary services such as apps for store management and consumer ordering, web store front for the store, and loyalty programs allowing small retailers to more effectively compete with the larger store chains and online merchants. We are deployed in well over 30 thousand stores across the US at this time.
Our development team is in search of a candidate to contribute and lead a small team to enhance and add to our suite of products, services and features with a can-do attitude who thrives in a fast-paced work environment and is highly motivated to deliver software to production.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 4-6 years of professional experience in a full-stack development role.
- Minimum 2 years experience leading a development team.
- Experience prioritizing roadmap projects while supporting previously deployed projects.
- Professional experience with vue.js, calling and implementing APIs, HTML 3.
- Professional experience with PHP or node.js for backend development.
- Professional experience with SQL databases (preference PostgreSQL).
- Experience with distributed source code control.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills including documenting data flow.
- Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group: clients, executives, managers, and coworkers
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience with github, Jira, node.js, Lubuntu.
- Experience with PostgreSQL.
- Experience with angular.js.
- Experience with both PHP & node.js.
- Working knowledge of Linux system administration.
- Working knowledge of AWS services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
