We are looking for an experienced and driven Sr. Director, Application Support that can lead support for a large portfolio of business-critical applications. If you are up for the challenge, keep reading!
As the Sr. Director, Application Support you will be responsible for managing support operations for multiple products deployed on the cloud. You will collaborate with Engineering teams and other support groups to deliver quality service to internal and external customers. You will be accountable for meeting service levels and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will also drive continuous improvements in process and organizational capabilities.
Job DescriptionWHAT YOU'LL DO:
We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to join our team. This role involves incident management, issue resolution, root cause analysis, and close interaction with development , infrastructure, business teams, and clients.
Key responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Providing application support for business critical systems.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitoring and maintaining application performance for high availability and reliability.
- Issue Resolution: Perform root cause analysis of reoccurring issues and work with development teams for timely issue resolution.
- Communication: Participate in client calls and provide timely updates to stakeholders
- Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance application support.
- Documentation: Documenting and maintaining technical procedures and user guides.
- Deployment and Configuration: Assisting in the deployment and configuration of applications.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in Application support roles
- Technical skills in areas like Java, C++, .Net or Python with hands-on experience in scripting
- Experience with database concepts (MS SQL, MySql, Oracle), Windows and/or Linux Servers, and integration concepts.
- Awareness In at least one cloud platform like AWS, Azure
- Working knowledge of monitoring tools
- Familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, problem, change management).
- Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with teams and customers.
- Customer management skills (both internal and external)
- Good analytical and logical skills
- Highly motivated, Go-Getter who needs very little or no supervision
