Position Summary:

We at Perforce are looking for Software Engineer in Test for Akana team in Pune. Akana provides an end-to-end API management and API security solution. We work in an agile product development process with a state-of-the art CI/CD environment with core values of results, teamwork, ownership, quality of work, problem solving, and service to external and internal customers. 

Responsibilities:

• As an individual contributor, design, develop, and maintain test cases based on requirements.
• Gain product knowledge and become an expert in product functionality.
• Perform manual testing, automation testing, and other relevant testing types.
• Work closely with the development team to deliver high-quality products.
• Actively participate and collaborate with multiple functional areas.
• Build and execute automated test cases.
• Analyse, research, and test new features.
• Maintain and improve automated test coverage.
• Work as part of an Agile SCRUM team delivering high-quality software in three-week sprints
• Work independently to complete all assigned project tasks within deadlines.

Requirements:

• 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in API testing, UI testing, and manual testing.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks and scripting languages.
• Good understanding and coding experience in Java
• Experience in REST and SOAP API testing using Rest Assured, REST Client, or similar tools.
• Experience in UI testing using Selenium WebDriver or similar tools.
• Exposure to version control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD systems such as Jenkins and Gradle.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Knowledge of OAuth2, API gateways, JSON, and XML is a plus.
• Good command of English, both verbal and written.
• Passionate about software quality engineering
