Your role will involve promoting substantial business impact through your skills and contributions, utilizing your deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to address a wide range of challenges across various technologies and applications.
Job responsibilities
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Knowledge of Domain Driven Design, microservices patterns, and modern architectures.
- Experience with container and container orchestration such as ECS, Kubernetes, and Docker
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s) and practical cloud native experience
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Expertise in building robust and scalable hybrid connectivity to at least one public cloud provider (AWS/GCP/Azure etc)
- In-depth practical experience of core networking protocols and technologies such as IPv4/IPv6, BGP, IPSec, MACsec, DNS, NAT
- Hands on experience with AWS networking services such as VPN, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect/Direct Connect Gateway
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as GO, cloud native technologies such as Terraform and AI/ML tools is highly desirable
