Blue Yonder Defense Solutions (BYDS) is seeking a Software Engineer with deep expertise in enterprise-grade Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems to lead the design and modernization of mission-critical logistics integration platforms.
This role will be responsible for architecting scalable, resilient solutions that support complex document exchange, transformation, and orchestration workflows across internal and external partners, including government and defense systems.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in Java development along with EDI standards, message processing systems, and integration architectures, and can bridge traditional EDI systems with modern, cloud-native, event-driven platforms.
Software: Java 8, Oracle Sql, any Sql Database, Data Structures, javascript/react js, Node js, python, EDI standards like ANSI X12 or EDIFAC.
Application Architecture: Service Networking Overlay, aiming for a single, cloud-agnostic architecture that simplifies policy management across public/private clouds via components like service meshes, API gateways, and centralized control planes, allowing consistent security and traffic flow (like a modern microservices approach), differing from simple client-server models by abstracting network complexity.
Cloud Architecture: ** Cloud-Agnostic:** Runs consistently across different cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premise.
Design, develop, and maintain Enterprise Java-based applications
Develop unit tests, functional tests, and integration tests using tools such as Junit.
Understand EDI Integration processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
Troubleshoot and debug applications to resolve issues
Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle
Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness
Education: BE/ME or B Tech/M Tech in Computer Science, MCS or MCA in Computer Science/ Supply Chain
Min 4 - 5.5 max years of experience in Java development.
Strong knowledge of Java, JavaScript
Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle
Familiarity with EDI concepts
Understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
Good problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
This will be work from Pune BYDS office(Not remote).
