Job responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and manage Databricks workspaces, clusters, and jobs in cloud environments
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for Databricks notebooks and data pipelines using modern tools
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Infrastructure as Code tools
- Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting for Databricks workloads to optimize performance and cost
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and platform teams to support analytics solutions
- Implement security best practices and manage access controls to ensure compliance
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to Databricks jobs, clusters, and integrations
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Experience in DevOps or cloud engineering roles
- Hands-on experience with Databricks in a production environment
- Proficient in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Experience with CI/CD tools including Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM, or CloudFormation
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Databricks certification
- Experience with Spark, Delta Lake, or MLflow
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Experience with enterprise security and compliance standards
