Position Overview
Autodesk's Platform team is looking for a passionate Software Engineer to join our team. Our organizational ecosystem comprises of cloud services and web client components. You will help guide important parts of the implementation of the cloud data platform of Autodesk. This is an opportunity to work on applications that directly influences the millions of users of Autodesk products. You will be based in Pune where we provide a hybrid working arrangements and you will report to the Senior Manager of Software Development.
Responsibilities

Develop high-quality, secure, and stable code for products and solutions, making it easier for other developers to maintain, enhance, reuse, and localize

Ensure new code, features, or software products meet performance goals and metrics
-
Proactively evaluate and address issues related to performance, stability, scalability, and extensibility of the systems

Break down large problems into smaller components and provide clear solutions for each piece
-
Design and outline the architecture and relationships between subsystems, participating in design reviews
-
Partner with product owners, software architects and other software engineers to iteratively turn high-level requirements into product enhancements that are delivered to customers incrementally
-
Monitor large-scale production applications and have experience with deployment and infrastructure design and maintenance

Develop, debug and build automated tests for multiple programming assignments
Minimum Qualifications
-
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
-
3-5 years of strong programming experience in web and cloud technologies
-
Hands-on experience with Java 8+, Spring, and Spring Boot
-
Skill and experience using design patterns
-
Hands-on experience with AWS (or other cloud provider's) technologies such as SQS, S3, DynamoDB, IAM, Lambda, etc
-
Experience building scalable systems and services in the cloud, including developing RESTful web services and integrating them with heterogeneous clients

Experience with multi-repo GIT code bases, REST-based web services, unit and performance testing frameworks (such as JUnit, JMeter, Blazemeter etc), shell scripts

Nice to have: hands-on experience with Search technology esp ElasticSearch / AWS OpenSearch is a strong plus

Nice to have: experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Docker, Jenkins)

Nice to have: Experience using Terraform to build infrastructure as code
