Job DescriptionVisa's Observability Team ensures the effective monitoring and logging of the company's infrastructure and applications. Utilizing a variety of tools to provide comprehensive observability, which aids in proactively identifying and troubleshooting issues, enhancing system performance, and ensuring high availability.
Our latest project involves build in-house enterprise level log management solutions. We are seeking a motivated and talented Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills, a keen interest in database technologies, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient code for our Log managementproject.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise.
- Continuously learn and apply new technologies to improve the product.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:-
- Bachelors degree/Master's degree with 1+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:-
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in software development.
- Proficiency in Golang OR Java.
- Good to have knowledge of C, C++, and Python.
- Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Fluentbit, etc.,
- Experience with database technologies, preferably Clickhouse or other columnar databases.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with Ansible is an added advantage.
