Job Description:
We are growing our application support team and so we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer. Your role will sit within an Agile team supporting a variety of applications and a broad set of technologies and datasets. You will also help drive the modernization of migrating on-prem databases to AWS. We will need you to ensure adherence to best practice in building modern software architectures.
Expectations:

Work in collaboration with team members to scope and design systems aligned with organizational goals of modernizing and streamlining data processes

Assist in troubleshooting and support efforts for existing systems and applications
-
Implementation and delivery ensuring coding, unit testing, system integration, defect resolution, and technical documentation adheres to our standards

Address technical queries and elicit, prioritize, and negotiate changes to requirements and defects

Due to the global nature of the team, a degree of flexible working will be required to accommodate different time zones (EST)
-
We are a hybrid working company and the successful applicant will be expected to be physically present in the office at least 2 days per week to foster and contribute to a collaborative environment
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant field
-
4+ years of software engineering experience with coding in languages including but not limited to C#/.NET and Python
-
Solid understanding of software design principles, patterns, and best practices
-
Experience writing and managing complex SQL queries and stored procedures
-
Experience with developing applications using traditional RDBMS (SQL Server, Postgres)
-
Knowledge of leveraging continuous delivery and approaches to continuous integration with Docker and AWS
-
Strong organization and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
-
Familiarity with agile development practices and version control systems Git
-
Knowledge and hands-on experience with Access and VBA is a plus
