Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Analyze requirements (stories) along with the dev team & identify test scenarios
Write tests based on scenarios identified
Use of test management & other tools like Azure DevOps, TestRail, Jira Json, Fiddler, XML as applicable
Identify, create test data or update existing tests scenarios
Perform Peer Reviews and comment the quality of the test cases on complex functionalities (accuracy, completeness and clarity)
Execute the tests in multiple environments as per the plan
Exploratory, ad-hoc and negative testing
API testing (manual as applicable)
Capture test preparation and execution data as needed
Keep abreast with new tools and technology
Technical Experience:
Experience on product testing in Agile environment; should know the various stages of product release & QA support needed for deployment validation and testing in production.
Experience in test design and test data design.
Experience with testing desktop, web-based, plugin-based, clients on the Microsoft C#/.NET/SQL Server technology stack.
Experience in design, creation, and execution of high-quality reusable manual test cases.
Experience with test case management and defect tracking systems.
Experience in diagnosing issues and share with stakeholders what isn’t working correctly and why.
Experience in execution of automated system functional scripts and analysis of their results.
Ideal candidates already have at least 3+ years of experience in the software industry as a QA Analyst and has familiarity with testing multi-tier solutions.
Experience:
3-5 years of total experience in software testing, in a complex testing environment.
Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
Good experience on desktop & web applications using manual testing techniques.
Ability to create SQL requests an asset.
Experience working with distributed teams on a different time zone.
Experience in using generative AI tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot/Edge Copilot) into manual/automation testing to drive speed and innovation.
Ability to stay updated with the latest advancements in generative AI and incorporate them into day-to-day work using approved list of tools.
Good to have working experience in test automation of web-based applications (e.g. using Selenium/Playwright, C#) or any other automation tool
