Responsible for reviewing requirements and technical documents, creating test plans, automating processes, identifying bugs, and improving testing strategies in a remote setting.
This is a remote position.
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
- Automate at least 60% of the processes
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools
- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
- Liaise with developers and product managers to identify system requirements
- Monitor debugging process results
- Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
- Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies
- Transfer application data and knowledge to monitoring and ticketing support analyst to facilitate and improve service support for all IT solutions.
- Liaise with the Programmers to create Technical Documents
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years software quality assurance specific experience with at least 2 years of experience in web Automation using Cucumber, Selenium, Cypress preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience using postman for API testing and Jmeter for Load test
Must be able to use test management tools like Jira, Trello, and Azure preferred - Comprehends and follows best practices in software testing
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Able to communicate to the technical and non-technical audiences clearly
- Prior experience using test automation frameworks to conduct integration, regression, API, performance, and acceptance tests
- The use of GitHub is an added advantage
