About the role:
Samsara’s Quality Engineering (QE) team uses test engineering and data analysis skills to drive product quality so that our customers can realize the full benefits of our platform. In addition to testing the product, the QE team seeks to cultivate a quality culture that produces best in class product reliability, usability, and performance across all of our product development teams.
Samsara’s mobile applications, APIs, and web platform enable our customers to enhance the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of their operations. We’re looking for an experienced Quality Engineering leader who will lead, coach, and manage our team of Fullstack, API, and Mobile Software Quality Engineers.

This hybrid position requires 3 days per week in our Bengaluru office and 2 days working remotely. This position is open to candidates based in India, relocation assistance will not be provided for this role.

In this role, you will: 

  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for Salesforce applications, ensuring high-quality releases in CPQ and Sales Cloud functionalities.
  • Collaborate with development and product management teams to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Create and maintain reusable automation frameworks and test data to support testing processes.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects, and work closely with development teams to drive resolution.
  • Conduct performance and regression testing to ensure optimal system performance and functionality.
  • Analyze requirements and provide insights into potential risks and quality impacts.
  • Lead and mentor junior QA team members in automation best practices and new technologies.

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, with a strong emphasis on automation testing.
  • Experience with Salesforce applications, particularly Salesforce CPQ and Sales Cloud, in an automation capacity.
  • Proficiency in automation testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce architecture, including customization, workflows, and data modeling in CPQ and Sales Cloud environments.
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

An ideal candidate also has:

  • Salesforce certifications, such as Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Salesforce CPQ Specialist, or Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant.
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools and methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development practices and experience working within Agile teams.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI).
  • Effective communication skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role within a QA team.
