Job Description
Role: Cloud DevOps Engineer – CRT (Customer Response Team)
Role Overview
We are looking for a Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our Customer Response Team (CRT). In this role, you will be responsible for interacting closely with the Cloud Team to resolve customer-reported cloud issues, ensure platform stability, and support continuous delivery processes. You will actively monitor, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines while contributing to automation initiatives.
This role requires strong DevOps fundamentals, hands-on experience with Jenkins pipelines, and solid knowledge of Python and Bitbucket.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Cloud Team to analyze and resolve customer-reported cloud infrastructure issues.
- Troubleshoot and fix production incidents related to CI/CD, deployments, infrastructure, and automation.
- Monitor multiple Jenkins pipelines and ensure smooth execution of builds and deployments.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Jenkins pipelines (Declarative/Scripted).
- Implement automation solutions to improve deployment reliability and reduce manual effort.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for failed builds, deployment issues, and cloud-related incidents.
- Maintain and manage Bitbucket repositories, branching strategies, and pull requests.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline release processes.
- Continuously improve CI/CD processes, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms.
- Ensure adherence to DevOps best practices and security standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of DevOps fundamentals and CI/CD concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins (pipeline creation, debugging, and maintenance).
- Experience monitoring and troubleshooting multiple CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of Python for automation and scripting.
- Mandatory experience with Bitbucket (branching, PRs, repository management).
- Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP preferred).
- Good understanding of Linux systems and shell scripting.
- Experience with log analysis and troubleshooting in cloud environments.
- Basic understanding of containerization (Docker) is preferred.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/ARM/CloudFormation).
- Knowledge of Kubernetes.
- Experience in handling customer-facing production incidents.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).
- Experience in release management processes.
