Software consultant (Web Technologies)

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with exceptional talent ready to join the Kepware Development team in Pune focused on SaaS product offering of Kepware+.  As a software consultant you will be a key member of our Pune new feature development team, bringing new functionality to market on our SaaS platform.

As a software consultant, you are trusted to lead the development of features.  You are highly experienced and able to guide junior staff that are working with you.  Your passion for software development and for making things better will ensure we are using modern software techniques, tools, and best practices.

You are excited to participate in every phase of the Agile software development methodology and are willing to take on challenging problems. You are familiar with Agile principles and processes, unit testing, automated testing, and continuous integration.

The Senior Web/UI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, responsive, and visually engaging user interfaces for web applications. This role requires a deep understanding of modern web technologies, UX/UI design principles, and the ability to translate business requirements into functional, scalable, and user-friendly digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive and interactive web applications using modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and backend developers to implement intuitive, efficient, and visually appealing user interfaces.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and adherence to web standards.
• Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and uphold best practices in coding and design.
• Work closely with backend teams to integrate RESTful APIs and data-driven components.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team skill development.
• Stay updated on emerging web technologies, frameworks, and design trends.
• Contribute to design system and component library evolution for consistent user experience across products.

Basic Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field
• 10+ years’ experience in professional software development of web/mobile UI development
• Expertise in the following technologies:
  • Web/mobile UI frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, Lit, Aurelia
  • Strong HTML, JavaScript, and CSS skills
  • Software Tools: Issue Tracking software and Unit Testing Frameworks
• Excellent troubleshooting skills. Analyzing problems with the application software, component layers and design system issues.
• Deep understanding of UI/UX principles and ability to collaborate with designers to implement intuitive and accessible interfaces.
• Performance optimization techniques for web applications (e.g., lazy loading, bundling, code splitting).
• Security best practices in web development (e.g., XSS, CSRF, CORS handling).
• Cross-browser and cross-device compatibility knowledge.

Preferred Experience: 

• Working with Azure IoT Edge/Hub to deliver hybrid cloud solutions
• Experience with distributed cloud environments leveraging containerization, Kubernetes and Azure services
• Experience working with the Aurelia development framework
• Experience working on an agile team to deliver production quality software
• Proven ability to mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and enforce coding standards.

• Ability to work in a complex environment and learn new concepts quickly.
