The Product Owner Specialist is responsible for supporting the product team in delivering high-quality features and functionalities that align with customer expectations and business objectives. The role assists in defining and prioritizing user stories and requirements, managing portions of the team backlog, and participating in collaboration with stakeholders to contribute to the product vision and backlog refinement. The role supports planning activities and execution alignment with program priorities while learning to maintain conceptual and technical integrity throughout the product lifecycle. The role engages actively in team demos and retrospectives, providing valuable feedback and insights to support continuous improvement initiatives and elevate product quality. The role handles the management of stories and backlog for a single simple product/module. The role coaches new joiners and exerts influence within team - local lab/product.
Job Responsibilities:
• Acts as the customer proxy, managing stories and backlog for a single simple product/module with few interfaces, ensuring delivery of quality and completeness within the respective scrum team.
• Coordinates effectively with stakeholders within small, local, well-understood groups, maintaining clear communication channels and addressing concerns proactively to foster collaboration and trust.
• Focuses on managing changes within an existing system/module, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions to ongoing operations while adhering to established processes and procedures.
• Participates actively in iteration planning at the team level, contributing to the prioritization and scheduling of work to meet sprint objectives and timelines, fostering agility and adaptability.
• Contributes insights to reviewing the program vision, roadmap, and content presentations, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and market demands to drive product success.
• Demonstrates a deep understanding of customer needs and preferences, integrating this insight into decision-making processes and feature prioritization efforts to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Engages actively in team demos and retrospectives, providing valuable feedback and insights to support continuous improvement initiatives and elevate product quality.
• Applies analytical skills to resolve medium complexity issues efficiently, leveraging judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action and ensure problem resolution.
• Cultivates productive internal and external working relationships to resolve mutual problems by fostering collaboration on products or procedures, promoting a culture of teamwork and partnership.
 
Minimum required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology OR Vocational Education in Information Technology or equivalent.
Minimum required Experience:
minimum 4 years of experience with Vocational Education in areas such as Software Development, Software Design and Architecture, Testing and Quality Assurance or equivalent.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
