Job Description

Position Title : Software Test Engineer - Java/Selenium

Location : Pune, India

A Day in the Life

As a Software Test Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our application. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, designing and executing test plans to validate functionality. You will report to the Manager from LS GCC and work at Balewadi, Pune, India.

Your Responsibilities

• Complete all mandatory trainings of QMS to stay compliant with organizational standards.
• Analyze requirements and design test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate functionality.
• Execute manual and automated tests to identify, document, and track defects using standard tools.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand features and resolve issues effectively.
• Report bugs with detailed documentation and track them through to closure.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to test automation frameworks and continuously improve testing processes.
• Support release cycles by validating builds, ensuring delivery of high-quality solutions.

The Essentials – You Will Have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 3 or more years of experience in software testing
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Familiarity with defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira).

The Preferred – You Might Also Have

• A master's degree or above is preferred (MCA, MTech).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Java) for test automation.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and scripting
