We are looking for a new member for our Core IT & Infrastructure Operations team as “Specialist - IBM iSeries Operations” to play a crucial role in monitoring, configuring, maintaining, and supporting an organization’s Server Infrastructure platform. Your responsibilities will span technical acumen, customer service, and ensuring seamless access to tools and applications. You’ll address any issues that arise within the platform, safeguard data, and support productivity and collaboration tools.
Job description (key responsibilities)
• 24 x 7 Monitoring of IBM AS/400.
• Provide 1st and 2nd line support
• AS/400 Performance analysis and Tuning
• AS/400 Job, User Profile and Security Management
• AS/400 Backup Recovery Management Using BRMS
• AS/400 Work Management with Audit and Database Journaling
• AS/400 Cum/Hiper/DB/Group PTF Planning and execution.
• AS/400 connectivity using TCP/IP, SNA, ODBC, JDBC, APPC etc
• IBM HMC Management
• IBM Tape Library administration and tape cartridge inventory
• IBM PowerHA administration with DR Drill
planning and execution.
• MiMiX Availability Administration. DR Management
(Monitoring/Operations/Role Swap etc)
• ROBOT Job Schedule management with OPRS administration
Experience: 3-5 years of experience working with IT Infrastructure support
specialization in IBM iSeries AS400 hardware and operating
systems knowledge, Windows Server fundamentals, Active
Directory.
Technology: IBM iSeries L1/L2, IT Infrastructure support
