The Senior Benefits Analyst will administer, manage, implement, and continuously improve global benefits and leave programs to enhance employee experience, ensure compliance, and support Zapier’s strategic growth. To succeed in this role, you must be an expert in U.S. benefits and U.S. leave of absence (LOA) programs and compliance, with the ability to extend that expertise to global benefits administration. This position requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to influence strategy while delivering high-quality execution. The Senior Benefits Analyst will report to the Sr. Manager, Total Rewards.

About You:You have 5+ years of Benefits administration experience. U.S.-based with strong expertise in U.S. benefits and leave compliance, in-house benefits administration experience, and international program administration strongly preferred. Experience managing leave programs, accommodations, and perks, including vendor and payroll coordination. Proven ability to implement and refine wellness programs that improve employee engagement and well-being.
You have excellent written communication skills and documentation practices. We’re a 100% remote team, and writing is our primary means of communication at Zapier. You’ll often communicate complex information, and need to be able to deliver the information accurately and succinctly. Additionally, you’ll need to keep excellent records and clearly document processes to keep key stakeholders informed.
You have strong analytical skills. Comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets, formulas, dashboards, and data storytelling. You influence stakeholders and ensure alignment on program design and policy changes through data-driven recommendations. Analyze industry trends and employee feedback to advise on the evolution of perks programs, ensuring offerings remain competitive and impactful.
You have strong attention to detail. Act as subject matter expert (SME) for benefits, leave, accommodations, perks, and wellness, advising People Ops, Finance, Compensation, Payroll, and Legal with clear recommendations. You own problems and use sound judgement to solve complex issues.
You’re strong at time management. You can juggle fast-moving projects, work autonomously with minimal supervision, and build scalable, efficient processes.
You have an AI-First Mindset. You're naturally curious about AI and regularly experiment with different AI tools to drive efficiency in your day-to-day work or personal life.
Things You’ll Do:Leaves of Absence and Accommodations
Implement and manage Zapier’s global leave programs (medical, parental, and statutory), serving as the primary point of contact and SME for U.S. leave programs while coordinating with global stakeholders for seamless administration.
Partner with third-party providers and payroll to ensure accurate pay, benefits continuation, and compliance.
Monitor compliance updates (FMLA, CFRA, PFL, ADA, STD/LTD, etc.) and recommend program changes, ensuring full compliance with U.S. LOA laws and best practices.
Handle accommodation requests with empathy, balancing employee needs with compliance obligations and business priorities; design new processes that improve the employee experience.
Provide managers and People Business Partners with clear, practical guidance on complex or sensitive leave and accommodation cases, ensuring they understand compliance requirements, company policy, and best practices for supporting employees.
Identifies trends and gaps in our leave and accommodation programs and propose process or policy improvements.
Perks Administration
Serve as the employee point of contact for Benepass and perks program administration including ensuring funding is appropriately applied to the various accounts, encouraging appropriate use of funds, and answering any questions that employees have
Maintain compliance of our perks programs through monthly reporting and receipts coordination with Accounting and Payroll. Additionally, you’ll audit the monthly expenditures to ensure they’ve been applied to the correct budgets and use these audits to improve the accuracy of the Benepass review team.
Advise on the evolution of perks programming based on industry trends and team-member feedback
Wellness Resources
Administer and improve Zapier’s wellness resources (e.g., Wellness Coach, wellbeing programs for managers, and Zapiens).
Increase engagement and well-being by delivering innovative communications, education, and support.
Collaborate with ERGs and the Events Team to ensure well-being programming supports diverse employee needs and initiatives.
Recommend program adjustments based on industry trends and employee feedback to continuously strengthen the well-being experience.
In partnership with the Benefits Manager, support the administration, analysis, and continuous improvement of global benefits and leave programs to ensure they are competitive, and compliant. This includes, but not limited to: US open enrollment, vendor & broker relationships, and plan design.
Foster strong cross-functional relationships with the Accounting/Payroll, People Team partners, and Legal teams.
Foster strong vendor relationships to understand the programs and how to leverage the programs for maximum value for Zapiens.
Support the administration of Health & Welfare programs as needed for our various entities.
Leverage product marketing skills to communicate and design program collateral to ensure benefits programs are communicated effectively and creatively to employees and dependents.
Travel for annual company summit that rotates to various cities throughout North America.
