Job Description
As a Data Quality & Analysis Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies across multiple systems and sources.
- Perform detailed analysis to identify root causes of data issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain data quality rules to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Partner with data governance teams to ensure compliance with business rules and standards.
- Collaborate with technology teams to implement workflow or system changes that prevent recurring issues.
- Support RIS by ensuring clean, accurate data inputs.
- Document findings and communicate insights clearly to business and IT stakeholders.
- Manage multiple projects and mentor team members on best practices for data analysis and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s degree in Business, Analytics, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis and problem resolution.
- Strong skills in SQL, Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs), and data validation techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate technical findings in a clear, business-friendly manner.
Ideal Qualifications
- Experience with Alteryx for data preparation and automation.
- Familiarity with data governance principles and workflow optimization.
- Ability to develop and maintain data quality rules.
- Experience with Collibra, Power BI and or Microstrategy (highly desirable).
- Experience in insurance or financial services industry.
- Comfortable working in an agile development environment.
- Due to the nature of this position, candidates must pass a non-registered fingerprint background check to qualify under FINRA.
