We are looking for a Senior Database Engineer to join our team to support database development work for Synxis Property Hub (SPH) and Central Reservation System (CRS).
Responsibilities:
• Develop SQL scripts and stored procedures in Oracle (PL/SQL)
• Identify necessary performance and functional enhancements to existing processes
• Provide data analysis, product support and defect resolution
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various aspects of the solution
• Develop using Agile product development and sprint cycles
• Mentor junior team members
Qualifications:
• 5 - 8 years of relevant work experience with database development
• Experience with Oracle relational databases in an OLTP env
• Expertise in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries
• Experience with database design, programming concepts and data modeling
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Eagerness and willingness to learn new technologies
Additional Desired Skills:
• Google Cloud Platform or AWS experience
• Python, GoldenGate, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MariaDB/MySQL
• Database objects deployment pipeline: Flyway, Liquabase
Education:
Bachelor's degree focus in computer science, information systems or a related study
