About this role:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Database Marketing Specialist role will have 2 to 3 years of experience in a business setting and demonstrated ability working in a fast-paced environment using data to drive commercial results, maximize lead acquisition, and sales conversions. To be successful, this candidate must blend proficiency in accessing and manipulating data with a strong ability to turn data into strategic insights and recommendations.

The role requires knowledge of audience acquisition, marketing automation, list segmentation, and analytics to identify the right prospective attendees for the right conferences at the right time.

To be successful, the ideal candidate will have experience with or exposure to a blend of proficiencies working with tools such as Eloqua for list segmentation, SQL and Excel to manipulate and analyze data, and Power BI to present and automate analyses.

What you will do:

  • Use Eloqua to perform marketing audience segmentation.

  • Support team members with maintaining Power BI dashboards and SQL queries.

  • Analyze data and determine patterns with available tools.

  • Follow with established privacy laws (e.g., CASL, GDPR) when building marketing lists.

  • Assist in developing segmentation and testing processes to identify optimal target audience.

  • Monitor and track efficacy of campaign efforts and channel attribution.

  • Support team members in using data to advise marketing managers on how best to drive business results and maximize lead acquisition and conversion.

  • Work as an individual contributor supporting a global Database Marketing team as needed.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, marketing/communications, math, economics or other related field.

  • At least one year of experience in a business setting.

  • Dependable; demonstrated ability to complete assigned projects on time.

  • Intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and ability to grasp technical concepts quickly.

  • Understanding of data segmentation, email marketing, marketing campaign analysis, and relational databases.

  • Able to highlight patterns in structured and unstructured data.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Demonstrated ability to gain trust and communicate effectively with team partners.

  • Experience with Eloqua or similar platform (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud), Power BI or similar tool (e.g., Domo, Tableau, Alteryx), or SQL is plus.

  • Experience working as a part of a diverse and collaborative global team is also plus.
