What you’ll be doing…
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, integration, performance, and automated testing.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks using JavaScript (ES6+), Node.js, and Playwright, Selenium, TestCafe or others.
Implement and maintain UI, API, and end-to-end automated test suites across web applications and services.
Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating with development teams to resolve issues efficiently.
BDD Framework Implementation: Utilize Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks such as Cucumber to enhance test automation using Gherkin syntax.
Quality Assurance Leadership: Provide technical guidance on best practices for testing, automation strategy, and quality engineering standards.
Conduct manual and automated testing to verify software and hardware functionality.
Analyze test results, generate reports, and provide recommendations for product improvements.
Work closely with development, product management, and QA teams to define testing requirements and acceptance criteria.
Assist in troubleshooting and debugging issues in various environments.
Continuously explore new testing tools, techniques, and methodologies to improve automation coverage and testing effectiveness.
Maintain QA on code bases written in Python, PHP, JavaScript, and Node.js.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers, UX designers) to understand requirements, define testing scope, and maintain quality standards.
Identify, document, and track issues through resolution using industry-standard defect tracking tools.
Establish test metrics, KPIs, and quality benchmarks, regularly reporting on quality status, trends, and risks to stakeholders.
Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
Qualities you possess…
Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript (ES6+), Node.js, and modern test automation frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright.
Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks for UI, API, and end-to-end testing.
Proficiency in scripting/programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, or TypeScript.
Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Behave, SpecFlow, etc.).
Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Hands-on experience with Jira and Xray for test management, defect tracking, and reporting.
Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Action, Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc.).
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices testing.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities.
Must have:
Strong experience on Building/Maintaining with Automation framework using JavaScript/TypeScript.
Strong understanding of modern JavaScript ES6+ concepts (async/await, promises, modules, arrow functions, destructuring, etc.).
Experience with Node.js and npm-based automation ecosystems.
Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), especially using Gherkin syntax.
Ability to create comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases.
Ability to read and troubleshoot JavaScript/TypeScript code.
Experience with API testing and automation.
Experience with VMware VM management.
Experience working in Linux environments.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience using AI for test generation, troubleshooting, and day to day operations.
Good to have:
Experience with AI-assisted testing frameworks/tools (e.g., Claude, Tabinine, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, etc.).
Experience integrating Automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Gherkin and BDD Knowledge and experience.
Experience with Github Action and Jenkins Pipelines.
Experience with Jira; Xray experience is a strong plus for test case management.
AWS EC2 management experience (required for some roles).
Experience testing microservices and distributed systems.
