Manage and maintain Windows and VMWare infrastructure, provide support during off hours, participate in disaster recovery, and monitor system performance.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows, VMWare, Citrix (or equivalent ) Infrastructure and working proactively on ticketing tool requests.
- Provide weekend support on scheduled weekend changes
- Provide on-call support during off hours if needed
- Participate in Disaster Recovery and BCP drills
- Manage Physical server infrastructure using remote access
- Manage and maintain virtual machines in internal ESX farm as well as in AWS
- Build new physical and virtual servers as per standards
- Fault finding, analysis and of logging information for reporting of performance exceptions
- Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning
Requirements
- Windows OS (2016, 2019 & 2022), & VMware ESXi installation, Configuration, administration, management, and Troubleshooting.
- In-depth Understanding of DNS, DHCP, Fileserver, RDP, Print management, KMS
- Skills on Hardware monitoring tool like Dell OME & HP SIM
- Server migration activities as applicable, Configure and maintain print servers and print queues, restoring server operating system, Perform OS upgrade activities and manual patch installation as required as well
- Creating Templates from VM’s, deploy VM’s from templates and allocate resources
- Communicate downtime to the application owners as per the patching schedule and do patch management to ensure all devices are compliant from patching perspective.
- Experience in publishing application on Citrix Environment, handling/troubleshooting user connection issue and updating publish application time to time.
- Install, configure, and manage VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts and vCenter Server.
- Perform regular updates and patches to VMware infrastructure.
- Administer and support Windows and Linux servers within the virtual environment.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of virtual environments.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve network, storage, and application issues.
- Must have experience of planning and managing the execution of Crisis Management simulations, Business Continuity tests and Infrastructure Disaster Recovery testing.
- Must provide weekend support and on-call support during off hours as per scheduled roster.
