What You’ll Do
Within 30 Days
- Complete onboarding and become familiar with our Boomi platform setup, integration landscape, and cloud environments.
- Build relationships with IT, Finance, Supply Chain, and business system owners to understand current integration needs and bottlenecks.
- Gain foundational understanding of our SAP/Salesforce/ERP/CRM financial workflows and existing integration patterns.
- Shadow senior developers on ongoing Boomi processes to learn our frameworks, standards, and deployment approach.
Within 60 Days
- Contribute to enhancements in existing integrations for finance operations such as invoice posting, journal entry automation, or master data flows.
- Participate in SAP and Salesforce integration initiatives, including API configuration, error handling, and mapping logic.
- Begin developing and maintaining REST/SOAP API integrations using Boomi connectors and custom scripting where required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather technical requirements and convert them into integration workflows.
Within 90 Days
- Build and deploy end-to-end Boomi processes for finance and operational use cases such as AP/AR automation, product master updates, or financial data integration.
- Present integration prototypes and automation improvements to business stakeholders, translating technical workflows into business impact.
- Develop enterprise-grade integrations aligned with security, compliance, and performance standards.
- Optimize existing processes for error handling, reprocessing, logging, and monitoring.
- Maintain integration documentation, mapping sheets, and best practices for long-term scalability.
Requirements:
Technical Skills- 7+ years of IT experience
- Strong hands-on experience in Boomi,including process building, connectors, API management, and deployment.
- Good understanding of integration patterns, error handling, and logging frameworks.
- Experience integrating with systems such as SAP, Salesforce, Workday, NetSuite, or similar ERPs.
- Strong knowledge of API development, REST/SOAP standards, XML/JSON, and mapping techniques.
- Familiarity with scripting (Groovy/JavaScript) for advanced Boomi logic.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and on-prem/hybrid integration environments.
Business & Soft Skills
- Good understanding of finance processes (AP/AR, GL postings, master data, invoicing, etc.).
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with complex enterprise data landscapes.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating across business, IT, and finance teams.
- Experience working in environments with strict security, compliance, and data governance standards.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD) or Salesforce development is a strong plus.
- Exposure to Boomi Event Streams, B2B/EDI integrations, or MDM solutions.
- Knowledge of financial compliance requirements and audit controls.
- Experience with automation tools e.g., Power Automate for extended workflow automation.
