About the Team

The Sr. solutions Engineer is responsible for scoping, designing, implementing, and testing integration solutions using Python, AWS Technologies and integration tools like SnapLogic. The developer will be joining an Integration and Automation team that is automating and optimizing Workday internal business processes. The developer will work closely with business partners to deliver business value, and with the Integration and Automation team to develop and deliver on best practices, increase the reliability of the integration and automation platform, and decrease the time to market for new applications.

About our Infrastructure Team:

The Business Technology Infrastructure team works in close partnership with our business partners to help fuel growth and revenue goals for Workday, along with driving secure & exceptional Customer and employee experiences. The team is responsible for developing and supporting innovative architecture-led solutions for our Marketing, Sales, Services, Customer Support & Legal business functions leveraging cutting edge platforms like SnapLogic for Integrations, Salesforce for CRM, AWS as PaaS, Coveo Search Platform, OKTA for SSO and our own Workday product. 

Our Infrastructure team is currently looking for a Sr. Integration Solutions Engineer.

Responsibilities:

• Experience in delivering projects using Agile methodologies such as Scrum and/or Kanban. Participate in all Agile ceremonies.

• Ability to think logically and analytically to solve complex problems and present them to the team. 

• Always eager to explore new architectures which are secured and easily implemented. 

• Understanding of Product operating model and product lifecycle in automations area.

• Work with product owners to understand product roadmap, determine new features and deliver them based on prioritization in Agile methodology.

• Good presentation and demo skills to showcase to business and cross functional teams on completed tasks, architecture, design and projects.

About You

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science / other or equivalent work experience

• 10+ years of hands-on experience on middleware and/or SOA base implementations on one or more integration tools such as SnapLogic, MuleSoft , Dell Bhoomi, Workato or TIBCO. SnapLogic is desired. 

• 4+ years hands on experience in analysis, design, Development and testing applications using Python libraries ,AWS technology stack and Middleware technologies.

• In-depth knowledge in AWS Technologies like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, CloudFront, SQS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch and Redshift.

• Solid programming experience using Java , XPath, and XSL/T, Design Patterns, JMS, SOAP / REST Web Services, etc. in order to deliver solutions.

• Hands on and in depth understanding of APIs, API management lifecycle, integrating data with applications using transactional and bulk APIs.

• Understanding of data modelling at enterprise level.

• Experience in build and migration of code with tools like GitHub or Bitbucket, Jenkins or Bamboo, Nexus, Maven etc.,

• Good understanding of unit testing and performance testing tools like PyTest and Jmeter.

• Experience in developing applications using Machine Learning and Natural language processing/understanding algorithms is a big plus.

• Experience in cache processing implementation is a big plus.

Nice To Have:

• Automation using Powershell, shell, perl, or Java etc

• Collaboration Experience with Network and System Administration Teams

• AWS Certifications

• Automation (Testing Frameworks)

• Ability to produce documents including detailed specifications, architecture, design and operational runbooks.

• Participate in code reviews with peers and cross-functional to ensure quality and follow design, coding best practices.

• Provide support to production incidents and ability to find root-cause and potential fixes.

• Collaborate well with team mates, cross-functional teams and business.

• Mentor junior team members.
