We are looking for a dynamic Senior Manager of Development to lead multiple product teams at Vertafore India. In this role, you will be responsible for the complete delivery process, ensuring technical excellence, fostering high team engagement, and aligning with both product and business objectives. This is a techno-functional leadership position that requires close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders in both India and the US.
Key Responsibilities:
People and Delivery Leadership:• Lead multiple Scrum teams with direct accountability for delivery outcomes.• Mentor and develop principal engineer, senior tech leads, tech leads, senior engineers and QAs.• Drive execution of PI objectives, roadmaps, and release plans in collaboration with Product Managers.• Manage team performance, provide regular feedback, and build a high-performance culture.
Technical/Product Oversight:• Ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions by enforcing high engineering standards.• Review and guide architectural decisions across modules/products.• Promote continuous improvement in code quality, CI/CD, testing, and DevOps.• Support modernization efforts including cloud migration, API-first design, and UI/UX revamps.
Stakeholder and Cross-Geo Collaboration:• Collaborate closely with US counterparts, including Product Owners, Architects, and QA teams.• Serve as the primary point of contact for India regarding your product suite, owning escalations and delivery metrics.• Foster strong relationships across business and support teams.
Operational and Strategic Contributions:• Monitor and improve KPIs: velocity, quality, predictability, and team health.• Own hiring, retention, and skill development strategies.• Contribute to organizational initiatives like innovation, knowledge sharing, and transformation programs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:• 12-16 years of experience in software development, with at least 4-6 years in a managerial role.• Proven experience managing multiple Scrum teams or products simultaneously.• Strong technical background in .NET framework, including .NET Core, ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server, and cloud platforms (preferably AWS).• Experience in product-based development and enterprise-grade SaaS systems is highly desirable.• Excellent understanding of Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD principles.• Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.• Ability to work in a fast-paced and globally distributed environment.
Qualifications:
• B.E./MCA/MTech.

Commission plans are tailored to each sales role but common components include quota, MBO's and ABPMs. Salespeople receive their formal compensation plan within 30 days of hire.
