The Manager, SRE will lead reliability and automation efforts for a focused set of Vertafore products or platforms (e.g., AMS360 & Sagitta OR CI/CD platform services). This role ensures operational excellence through SLIs/SLOs, monitoring, and automation, while managing a team of engineers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Product Reliability
    • Own SLIs/SLOs and monitoring for assigned products or platforms.
    • Implement observability tools and dashboards for proactive performance management.
  • CI/CD & Automation
    • Manage build/release pipelines and provisioning automation for assigned scope.
    • Reduce operational toil through scripting and automation-first practices.
  • Incident Response
    • Lead on-call rotations; ensure timely resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Collaboration
    • Work with Directors and VP, SRE to align reliability initiatives with organizational goals.
    • Partner with Cloud Ops for infrastructure readiness and patching coordination.
  • Team Development
    • Mentor engineers; foster a culture of reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
  • 12+ years in SRE or DevOps roles
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, OctopusDeploy).
  • Strong AWS and Infrastructure-as-Code skills.
  • Excellent incident management and communication skills.

Commission plans are tailored to each sales role but common components include quota, MBO's and ABPMs. Salespeople receive their formal compensation plan within 30 days of hire.
